Celebrate the tiny things
Showing up for others even in small ways can make a great difference. God promises to be with us always, and trusting that promise begins with small faith like a mustard seed
A very interesting thought!
This week we contemplate “SHOWING UP”
Jesus, becoming human, felt we were worth spending time with. Do we sometimes get confused about the value of things we spend time on, giving time to things that in the ’big picture’ drain us, rather than fulfill us? The reasons we might value something are many. Using our financial resources can be self fulfilling when we indulge ourself, or resources can be used for the betterment of our community and the world, bringing dignity to others.
Narcissus flowers seem to be looking down and gazing at their reflection in a pool too. Does self concern sometimes distract us from caring for others as we should? Jesus reminds us that the servant of others will be first.
